Last week, more than 10 million fewer Americans settled in to watch the NCAA men’s basketball championship. That’s a shame, because the final minutes of the game featured an impressive, stubborn effort by North Carolina to tie the game, only to lose when Villanova’s Kris Jenkins sank a three-point shot at the buzzer. The timing was so tight that TBS replayed the final seconds in slow-motion so viewers could verify the shot took off before time ran out.
